Mentor-Mentee

The Houston Bridge Studio holds monthly Mentor-Mentee games.

· The games are held on

· The second Wednesday of the month at 10:30 am and

· The fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm.

· The purpose of the game is to give our newer players an opportunity, that they would otherwise not have, to play with a more advanced player against other mentee/mentor pairs and receive some important tips at the end of the game.

Here’s how it works:

· The mentee will pay 1 ¹/₂ times the normal entry fee ($10.50).

· The mentor will play free.

· Mentee-Mentor pairings will be the same every month unless one of you asks for a change.  Please ask for a change if you are not comfortable with your mentor/novice!  You can work better with someone if you are comfortable with that person!

· The mentor will play the mentee’s convention card. The novice should bring a copy of their current convention card.

· After the game the mentor will sit down with the mentee and go over some things they did well in the game and give no more than 2 or 3 suggestions for improvement.  Hand records will help in the review session.  Critiques at the table are forbidden.

· They will contact you with your partnership information. Please include these items in your e-mail:

· Name

· Telephone number

· E-Mail address

· Whether you want to be a mentor, or play with a mentor.

· Also, each month, please let Donna or Kathy know in advance if you will or will not play.
